Our belief in community begins in Norfolk, where our HQ and team are based, but it reaches right across the world to our global network of people who source our shellfish.

Our commitment is to our local and our global community – to our people, their surroundings and their own local communities.

Our Friends

The Happy Prawn Company

Our friends at The Happy Prawn Co. share the same principles as us, bringing premium, natural and great tasting shellfish options to the UK whilst focusing on better animal welfare and environmental care.

We work together as part of our mission to take sustainability to the next level by not only ensuring we source our shellfish carefully in a responsible way; but also by doing our bit to give back to the environment and raise awareness of some really great causes. Each pack sold under the Big & Happy brand is paired with a charity that does incredibly important work to support endangered species and protect their natural habitats through conservation programs. We donate 20p from the sale of every pack sold directly to these causes – our products don’t just taste good; they do good too.

For every pack of Big & Happy Borneo Tiger Prawns sold, we make a donation to the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation. Since we launched this pack in December 2019, we’ve donated £12,800 and counting!

Sustainable Community

As part of our responsibility to the wider communities where we source our products, we believe in upholding the highest possible environmental and welfare standards. These standards are a fundamental part of our development of an integrated programme of social responsibility and sustainable development.
